Doctors

The Doctors at our practice are qualified professionals with significant experience and interest in all aspects of family medicine.

• Dr. Graham Farquhar qualified in general practice medicine in Nottingham, England in 1984. He immigrated to Australia in 1987 and has been a practicing GP since this time. He enjoys working in all areas of family medicine and has a Diploma in Child Health.
• Dr. Deepani Lokuratna. After being in general practice since 1994, Dr Deepani Lokuratna has retired and is no longer practicing at Leeming Doctors. Dr Deepani has returned to Sri Lanka. If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact us and one of our friendly staff will help with your query.
• Dr. Wendy Stokes graduated from UWA in 1981 and completed her residency at Royal Perth Hospital. She commenced General Practice in 1992 after working with the Health Department and is a Fellow of the College of GPs. Dr Stokes enjoys working in all areas of General Practice.
• Dr. Noel Murphy graduated from UWA with an Agricultural Science degree in 1991. After working for ten years at the Department for Agriculture and Murdoch University in research, he started studying medicine at UWA, graduating in 2007. Dr Murphy spent two years at Fremantle Hospital before entering GP training program in 2010. He became a fellow of the Royal College of GPs in 2012. Noel enjoys all aspects of General Practice.
• Dr. Linda Lim graduated from UWA and completed her residency at Fremantle Hospital and is a fellow of Royal College of GPs. Dr Lim enjoys all aspects of General Practice, especially women's health, children and sports medicine.
• Dr. Dayani Subawickrama graduated from UWA in 2007. Dr Subawickrama has worked at Fremantle Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital. In 2011 Dr Suba completed a Diploma in Paediatrics. Dr Suba enjoys all areas of family medicine in particular women's and children's health
• Dr Damien Hewitt returned home to Perth at the beginning of 2016 to complete his General Practice training after initially starting his medical career at Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne. Prior to his medical degree, Damien spent time in the UK at the University College London and at The University of Western Australia where he completed a Bachelor of Science with First Class honours and a PhD in Anatomy and Reproductive Biology. After accumulating these degrees, Damien worked as a lecturer for 5 years at Curtin University as part of the Health Sciences Courses, including Nursing, Physiotherapy and Medicine.
  Damien is also an avid runner and may be spotted puffing his way around the local neighbourhood or lagging behind far more qualified athletes in one of Perth’s many fun runs. With his very supportive wife, Sarah, Damien is a father of two children and an active member of the local sporting and school community.
  Damien has an interest in providing complete care for patients of all ages, involving chronic disease management, women and children’s health. Damien’s practice focuses on practical solutions that are tailored to the individual lifestyles of his patients.
• Dr David Liaw graduated from UWA in 2002, and spent some time working in Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital. He completed the Diploma of Child Health in 2006, and became a Fellow of the Royal College of GPs in 2009. David also did volunteer medical work including medical teaching in Cambodia for 3 years. He enjoys all aspects of General Practice.

We are also a GP Registrar Training Practice and at times we have GP Registrars working. These doctors have already completed their medical training and have chosen to specialise in General Practice.
